Middle School Mock Trial Competition & Legal Practice Pathway

In 2016-2017, Hillside Middle School teacher Gwenn Reep, leads the charge with community partners to start the first annual Ventura County Middle School Mock Trail Competition at the East Ventura County Courthouse. The Ventura County Office of Education, Santa Susana Mock Trail, and attorney coaches assisted. Curriculum focused on public speaking, research, analysis argumentation, and acting.

The LIttle Mermaid, Santa Susana High School

Santa Susana High School houses prestigious academy programs in accelerated academics, technology, and the visual and performing arts. In 2017-2018, SSHS add Psychobiology and pre-med programs. Engineering is taught by the Ventura County Engineering Teacher Of the Year 2018 whose students are working collaboratively with NASA/JPL on a design project. With a full range of Performing and Technical Arts Programs in Professional Music, Sound Engineering, Professional Theater, Production and Managerial Arts, Commercial Illustration, Graphic Design, and Film Production students often attend top tier universities.

INTERDISTRICT TRANSFERS INTO THE SIMI VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Simi Valley Schools welcomes you! Parents of students who live outside of the SVUSD boundaries who wish to attend an SVUSD school will:

  • Complete an Interdistrict Transfer Agreement Form obtained from your district of residence
  • Submit the Form to your district of residence for approval
  • Once approved, submit the approved Agreement to SVUSD Student Support Services at 875 Cochran Street (before 2/15/18) and 101 Cochran Street (after 2/15/18).
  • As a courtesy, approved permits are automatically shared with the receiving Ventura County District.

INTERDISTRICT TRANSFERS OUT OF THE SIMI VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Parents of students who live inside SVUSD boundaries and wish to transfer to a public school outside SVUSD will need to complete an Interdistrict Transfer Agreement Request (see link to the right).

  • Applications are accepted February 1 through the last Friday in April, unless otherwise specified by BP 5117 and AR 5117. 
  • Submit applications to Student Support Services at 875 Cochran Street (before 2/15/18) OR 101 Cochran Street (after 2/15/18)
  • Include all supporting documents described on the second page of the application
  • Allow 3 weeks for processing. Check your e-mail for our district's reply.
  • Any change of school requires a new permit and, therefore a new application.

Allows us to verify your submission in person to reduce travel time.  Contact Student Support Services, 805-306-4500 x4324 if you have not received a reply after 4 weeks from your submission date.
