Middle School Mock Trial Competition & Legal Practice Pathway

Simi Valley Unified leads the charge with Middle School Mock Trial at all of middle schools and Monte Vista (Independent) School. Curriculum focused on public speaking, research, analysis argumentation, and acting. We are thrilled to offer our next competition, March 15-16.

International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement at Royal High School

Homeland Security and International Bacculaurate Programs are Just Two of the 
Amazing Programs Students Participate.

Royal High School combines a strong International Baccalaureate Pathway with languages such as Mandarin, that are embedded in model citizenry through their Reagan Library partnership and outstanding sports programs. Royal is also home to an award winning Marching Band and youth Orchestra.

Santa Susana High School houses prestigious academy programs in accelerated academics, technology, and the visual and performing arts. In 2017-2018, SSHS added Psychobiology and pre-med programs. Engineering is taught by the Ventura County Engineering Teacher Of the Year 2018 whose students are working collaboratively with NASA/JPL on a design project. With a full range of Performing and Technical Arts Programs in Professional Music, Sound Engineering, Professional Theater, Production and Managerial Arts, Commercial Illustration, Graphic Design, and Film Production, students often attend top tier universities.

INTERDISTRICT TRANSFERS INTO THE SIMI VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Simi Valley Schools welcomes you! Parents of students who live outside of the SVUSD boundaries who wish to attend an SVUSD school will:

  1. Complete an Interdistrict Transfer Agreement Form obtained from your district of residence
  2. Submit the Form to your district of residence for approval
  3. Once approved, submit the approved Agreement to SVUSD Student Support Services located at 101 West Cochran Street 
  4. As a courtesy, approved permits are automatically shared with the receiving Ventura County District

For more information about any SVUSD school, click on the “Schools” tab at the top of the SVUSD home page. You may also contact the Simi Valley school-of-interest for a Campus Tour, Open House, or to attend any other public school event.

Principals and teachers take a personalized interest in each and every student. Simi Schools are excited to share their academic, extracurricular, and enrichment programs, as well as their school community. From here to anywhere!

 

INTERDISTRICT TRANSFERS OUT OF THE SIMI VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Unless there is a specified exception under SVUSD Board Policy 5117 and Administrative Regulation 5117, the Simi Valley Unified School District ONLY accepts Interdistrict Transfer Applications from February to April of the school year before the transfer. (If you're interested in transferring for the 2019-2020 school year, transfers applications would be accepted in February, March and April 2019.)
