    Trustee Kareem Jubran

    Board President Kareem Jubran is a graduate of Simi Valley Schools, including Katherine Elementary, Hillside Middle School and Royal High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Los Angeles and a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California. He has worked for the last 10 years as a construction engineering project manager leading large-scale healthcare construction projects.

    Trustee Jubran was elected in 2018 to the Simi Valley Unified School District’s Board of Education. He served as the Board President in 2021. He previously served as vice-chair of the SVUSD's Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee for Measure X (School Improvement & Technology Bond) from its formation until his election to the Board. Trustee Jubran is also a board member of the Simi Valley Education Foundation. He has two young children who will attend Simi Valley Schools for the coming 15 years and his mother worked for the SVUSD for 20 years.
